Baby #2 Update

I have not wrote much on the blog or Facebook about this pregnancy. Not that I've forgot about this baby, but when I was trying to get pregnant for so long and would see 500 pregnancy post I would get upset. And I don't want to rub it in to other people who may be trying and I told myself if and when I do get pregnant I'm not posting a million things about it! On the other hand, I do print this blog into a book each year and I don't want this baby to feel left out! :) So here is a quick update on my pregnancy. I am currently 22 weeks! I feel wonderful! In the beginning I had some really bad migraines, but those have seemed to pass. I am not craving anything! With Luca I craved Red Meat and chocolate ice cream, not this time! I am feeling the baby kick like crazy! At 19 weeks, we had a bit of a scare. I went in for my regular appt. and the doctor could not find the heartbeat. She then ordered a ultrasound. I was so scared! I had Luca with me, and just kept thinking this cant be happening! How will I handle myself in front of Luca! I was the last appt of the day so the US tech had already left. I waited a half hour for the machine to warm up so the doctor could do it. That was a long wait!! But there it was a beautiful heartbeat and a baby waving at Luca! Thank GOD!!! We had our big ultrasound at 21 weeks. We chose not to find out the sex of the baby again this time. Well I guess I chose this, Jeff wanted to know this time around! Everything looked good! The baby was breech and on its tummy, so the tech said she could not even tell if it was a boy or girl. The baby was punching and kicking like crazy! It weighed 15oz and had a heartbeat of 146! It's going to be a long hot summer! But I can not wait for September to be here!

Spring Soccer

The Spring soccer season has come to an end. Luca did much better than in the Fall. There was no pushing and tackling involved this time! I think he has out grown that and understands the game a little better. At this age it is rather comical to watch, but the kids have fun and thats all that matters!

Train Trip

When we lived in Spain we road on the train quite often. Luca feel in love with trains and had been asking to go on one since we moved home. So Jeff had some vacation days to use and we took the train to Naperville. First we stopped at the children's museum and then had lunch, did some window shopping and enjoyed the river walk. Luca was beyond excited on the train. He had a smile on his face the entire ride! When the train pulled up he was jumping up and down screaming with excitement! These moments are priceless!

Mother's Day

We spent Mother's Day with both sides of the family. Brunch with my side and a cookout with Jeff's. I am so very lucky to have an amazing Mom! I cant imagine what I would do with out her! I talk to her everyday. She is always there for us and supports us in everything we do! She is also and amazing Grammy to Luca! I cant imagine anything better than being a Mom to Luca Jay and a new baby on the way! I am so blessed to be called MOM! Momma Jo and her kids!

Little Green Apple Spring Program

Luca's preschool class held a spring program where the kids sang several songs and were each asked a special question. I just love Luca's school!! And his teacher Ms. Betsy is the best! Luca adored her and you can just see the love she has for each of the children! I am so happy he will be attending the 4 year old class next year.
