11 months

Luca is 11 months today. It is killing me that he is going to be one next month. I do love watching him grow and learn new things but I hate that he is not a baby anymore. This year went WAY too fast!
What's new this month:
-No more baby food. Luca is now eating just about anything and will refuse to eat baby food.
-He waves Hi and Bye-Bye
-He is climbing up on EVERYTHING!
-He is finally starting to get his two front teeth, no more vampire look.
-He sleeps 12 hours a night!
-He points at everything, saying what sounds like "this" or "that"
-He is such a ham and tries to make you laugh all the time.
-He is constantly shaking his head up and down, yes or back and forth, No!
-He shows no interest in walking while holding his hands. When we do this he lifts his legs into a sitting position. He is walking with push toys at least.
Next month we will be celebrating in ILLINOIS with a monkey party!!!

I don't have many good pictures, he is not liking the camera too much anymore. He runs away from me!

Climbing, Climbing Everywhere!!!

Climbing up on everything is Luca's favorite thing to do. I can't leave the room for a second or I find him on the coffee table, couch, or even the nightstand!! He has mastered the 17 windy steps! We have three sets of dangerous staircases in our house, but they are not a problem for Luca(only Mommy falls down them). We have also found a use for the bidets, a water table for Luca!!! He learned how to turn the water on and now he even has bath toys in them!!! Trust me they are clean, we don't use them.

Happy Father's Day to my husband! Thank you for being an excellent father to our son.





Father's day to my Dad! I appreciate and look up to you more than you know! Yes, I am a Daddy's girl!



Happy Father's Day to my Father-in-law! For being a great Dad to my husband and Grandpa to Luca!


Jeff spent father's day catching up on DVRed U.S. tv shows with Luca by his side, playing in the park and eating ice cream, and having a nice dinner and some wine. Luca made Daddy a book with all the pictures of the two of them taken since Jeff became a Daddy and a wallet that actually fits Euros!


Happy Father's Day to all the other Dads celebrating today as well!!!

Family in Spain

For 12 days Nathan, Kailee, and Drew were here for a visit. I had been looking forward to their visit since we arrived in Spain and can't believe it is over already. We did a lot in those 12 days.

Day one- Recovering from traveling and jet lag, grocery store and cookout.


Day two-Park and dinner and drinks in Majadahonda
